Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 21

What a whirlwind couple of weeks it has been! Kathy and I arrived in California on Sunday for CHA's annual Winter Show. It has been a lot of fun browsing the different displays and seeing all the amazing new products being demoed! Among our favorites yesterday was Staz On's new metallic ink (coming out in March), altered acrylic, and the Craftwell eCraft (no mat, and custom shapes!). Our legs are achy as we prepare to walk the second half of this massive show today.

Now, for the winner of Challenge 20 - pickrandom.com chose 9. Lisa Buttafuoco! Congratulations, Lisa! Please email me your details, and we'll ship your book to you. :)

The next challenge is a little bit different than anything we've done so far, but our designers were up for the challenge! And boy, did they create some beauties! Here's the recipe with a twist for Challenge 21:

  • Project can be in any format (with the exception of digital art, hybrid projects are totally ok!)
  • Must contain a vintage item or be inspired by something vintage. The vintage item(s) can be a postcard, old love letter (I love those), an old button, an aged photo – whatever peaks your interest!
  • Must contain at least one stamped image

The "twist" is that this challenge will be judged! The designers, Kathy, and I will judge the entries based on the following criteria:

  • Interpretation
  • Quality of Work
  • Original creativity in the project

Your project needs be linked into Mr. Linky before February 8, 2010 to be entered to win the prize for this challenge (listed beneath designer's projects). Only one entry per person, please. :)Onto the adorable projects created by our DT!

Viv has created a gorgeous, gorgeous card in a pink and green color scheme using PK-240.

Lorie's frame-worthy recipe card was made using PK-402.

Nikki combined a darling vintage postcard with PK-490 faces on PK-239 Faceless Fruit!

Emma captured the fun look of the 50's with this super cute retro scrapbook page using PK-490!

Janice has made this romantic vintage wall hanging using PK-237 and PK-034.

The prize for this challenge will be $25 gift code to Peachy Keen Stamps! Don't forget, the entries will be judged for this challenge - no random winner will be drawn. Good luck everyone, and have fun!

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 20

Happy 2010, everyone! New beginnings, fresh starts, new outlooks. I love the turn of a new year, and we thought we'd change the challenge up a bit for #20!

This week, the challenge is to create an altered item that fits the following criteria:

• Item must be a purse/tote bag (any size)
• Must include at least one stamped image
• Must incorporate a winter theme (snowflakes, snowmen, Valentine’s Day, outdoor snow activities)

Your entry must be submitted before January 25th to have a chance to win! The prize is listed just below the designer's entries. Please don't forget that your entry must be linked to your blog entry (not blog), the project must be new, and must meet the PKS criteria for your project to be eligible. Combining challenges from other sites is okay so long as all the criteria are met for our challenge.

And that's it! When the designers sent me their submissions this week, I was just blown away. You have to check out their purses, totes, and bags to truly be inspired! Emma, one of our designers, has even offered her purse pattern for you to download and try out! Please click here to download a PDF of the pattern. Thank you for sharing it with us, Emma!

Our pickrandom.com winner of the new Simple Sallies assortment is: 16. CarolN! Carol made a fun, unique card using our free digi stamp that was given away on New Years Day. Congratulations, Carol! Please email me your details so I can get your fun new faces to you! :)

And without further ado, our designers' amazing bags:

Viv's project showcases the charming snowman face from PK-480. Be sure to check out the gorgeous cards she made to fit inside when you hop over to her blog!

Lorie used PK-015 to love up her tote; you have to RUN to her blog to check out the inside!

Janice has created a gorgeous icy blue bag and matching tag using PK-311 and PK-306A.

Jacqui's fun and funky cone-style bag was made using PK-328A.

Nikki's adorable Valentine's day gift bag was made using PK-M12 and PK-531!

Emma also used PK-531 to dress up her paper doll on this super fun favor purse! It's the same pattern offered for download! :)

Sorry, I won't be posting a project this week. I wanted to, but Peachy Keen Stamps has been moving into a new office, and our crafting things are in a disarray at the moment. I will definitely post my project if I can get one completed by the end of today, if not, you probably won't be missing much anyway! LOL Our designers are super talented, so I know we're not short of eye candy!! :)

The prize for this challenge is a copy of Cardmaking with Cricut from Annie's Attic! Even if you don't own a Cricut, this book is chock full of fun ideas and will definitely inspire you to purchase one!

Good Luck, Everyone!!
Big hugs,
Angelica

ooops... sorry about that!

Hi Everyone!
I'm writing a note to apologize for the email that was sent out on Challenge #3. I have no idea how or why that went out! I changed the header on here this morning and some colors but did not resend the Challenge #3 out. That is just weird. That was an old challenge and is not valid at this time. Sorry :(
Hugs,
KathyJ
